I see insect parts…legs and wings. Chitin….which is resistant to 10N HCl.

What do you suppose the tube-like structures with fluid might be?

These fibers do not appear to be similar to spider silk (please see the comparison video).

Could we compare this to samples from 50 years ago?

During the French Revolution, the machine of justice was called The National Razor.

But they didn't face an assault of this magnitude. Of course Dr. Frankenstein was busy around that time, but he was merely digging up bodies and putting parts together and reanimating with the miracle of electricity, Harmless little dude, that Doctor, compared to the geniuses we suffer now. How much for a microscope that would render me comfortably blind?

I'm also looking to buy a microscope. Ideally less than $1000 if possible but i don't see the point buying something that doesn't give me a good reading. I'd really value any suggestions you might make!! Many thanks for fighting the good fight. xx
